* Nicholas Sparks’ Safe Haven depicts true love in quite a complicated form. The speaker uses the characters’ relationships combined with situational irony to create a very suspenseful tone. Katie, the protagonist of the story, has fled to Southport and no one knows her or why she‘s there. As she begins a relationship with Alex, a local store owner, both the reader and other characters in the book learn her difficult past.…

Photography will be a challenge because I will have to gain the ability to photograph something ordinary and make it absolutely extraordinary. My mother is a photographer, I showed interest in photography when my mother began doing it because she makes everything she photographs an amazing moment. My prior knowledge is very little although I have taken trips with my mother to take photograph of people and nature. This project will challenge my prior knowledge of photography because I know very little about photography. This project stretches beyond my comfort zone because I will have to become close to my mentor and my camera, it will also stretch out of my comfort zone because I will have to associate with sports teams and people that are unknown to me frequently. This project is involved with my current hobbies and pursuits because, after my project is completed, there is a possibility of…
Growing up, I always had a fascination with cameras, movies, and television. I like reading, but there is just something amazing being able to see it the screen. I always envied directors, writers, and editors because they make all of the stories we love and remember real. I used to make up stories and create movies, which I still do to this day. That is why, I vision myself as a movie director.…

Every photograph that I create conveys who I am, what I aspire to be, and how I belong in the world around me. I find myself drawn to different perspectives and ways of perceiving Earth and all of its inhabitants. When I walk along the woods, my eyes are instantly drawn to the illuminating glow of the leaves and the dancing shadows of the trees. My mind tends to reveal these instances of time on its own accord, surprising me throughout each passing moment as I think back and come across mental photographs my mind has conjured up. I will never cease to explore every passing moment for every moment expresses a new reality, a new dream, and a new hope of what is to come…

Photos are wonderful still frames of a world that has passed us. Without them we would have lost so much of time. In every little box you keep a fragment of that day for all of time. There were many turning points in my life, one being able to find my true passions and own hidden goals. When I was a sophomore, I discovered drawing, which was my escape from reality of expectations and results. I loved art, because there wasn’t a right or wrong answer to how I could have approach it. Art quickly became my hobby, and I discover more creativity and colors to life. I learn to appreciate other things in life, and work harder to look outside the box. Drawing also helped me to improve my problem solving skills; I learn to analyze things in front of me deeper than on just the surface. Therefore, I will always be grateful to be able to discover drawing, which gives more creative outlook onto my life.…
Photography is a creative form of art that can articulate all of the different aspects of humans. It shows our true colors, hobbies, and expressions. A photograph can also be interpreted with over a thousand words as just one human can. Looking at a photo allows someone to judge another person based on their appearance or expression rather than letting the person in the photograph speak for themselves. Aside from the emotions or expressions given off by a model in a photograph, the person looking at the photo and their interpretation of the person in the photo also says a lot about humanity in this way. Because we judge people.…
One of the things I love to do every now and then is to go sit with my iPad in a place of complete anonymity. A place where no one knows me, and I am certain I cannot be found. I find that time slips away quickly when you are not answering calls from church or emails from community leaders. It is in this sort of environment that I start to feel a sense of renewal and restoration. It is my belief that we all have to discover where our own personal sanctuary is located and know when to go there.…
As an artist, sometimes self-doubt plagues me and I question myself, “ Am I doing the right thing by sharing my inner-self with the world?” However, when I hear, “It takes courage to let others see me, my feelings, my being,” I know I am on the right path. I then use my diffidence to fuel my artistic urges and painting another portrait. It is invariably one small step at a time, one paining at a time, but I have to move ahead on my voyage to self-actualization. There are many other reasons why I want to build my life with my love for painting as a foundation; but one is more than enough – It gives me my…
