The Review Safe Haven is an excellent movie to watch, especially for an individual who may be in a marriage that is abusive. Safe Haven is a movie about a girl named Erin who is an abusive marriage with a police officer. Erin escapes one night after a bad fight where her husband almost kills her. Erin moves to a new place where no one knows her and she changes her appearance and her name to Katie. Katie meets a man by the name of Alex who is a widow with two children. Katie and Alex fall in love throughout the movie. However Katie does not tell Alex her secret until he finds a wanted poster for her. Alex gets upset with Katie for not being honest and upfront with him so he tells her she needs to leave. Katie gets very upset and tries to explain but fails to an packs all her stuff up to get ready to leave. As Katie is getting ready to leave Alex stops her realizing she is in trouble. He tells he loves her and he will protect her from her ex-husband. Katie is fearful to have him brought into her mess but feels safe with him. This is a very important part of the movie that can be used towards marriage counseling. In the movie Katie finds her safe haven in Alex. It is important for married couples to find a safe haven in one another and feel like they are protected from the world when they are with their partner. It is also important for couples to see that being in a marriage where one spouse is abuse can be extremely damaging to the other spouse.
