Sage's Coffee Cup College Essay
I chose Sage’s Coffee Cup for my project because it’s a smart business. Sage’s Coffee Cup is in Tatum, Texas, a small town with a very diminutive community, so it’s easy to get people to come. Not only do they want people from tatum, people from other nearby cities, for example, Marshall and Lakeport, people travel through Tatum all the time to get back and forth. Sage’s Coffee Cup’s products are very warming and filling. Products are warming because, I mean, look at the name Sage’s ‘Coffee’ Cup. People love getting coffee in the mornings on their way to work or school. The advantage of coffee is that people love to drink it and when it’s cold everybody wants a warming drink. Not only do a lot of people want warm coffee, but there are people …show more content…
The website is basically information about the owner and very little about what they serve. So really the information given to us, is not enough. How am I supposed to know what I’m really going to get if I decide to go? I would try and help promote Sage’s Coffee Cup by creating them an e-mail ad. The ad would say something along the lines of “Sage’s Coffee Cup wants to serve you great coffee and breakfast.” The ad would also give one coupon that state that he/she can get a free small latte or frappe with the choice of one breakfast burrito or sandwich. These email ads would be sent out the first Sunday of each month. I chose the first Sunday because that is when people settle down and get ready to start their week back over. School and work start back Monday and everybody hates Mondays, unless they have a joyful cup of coffee in their hand. Furthermore, I would make a Instagram page that posted pictures of their commodity, such as their best sellers and anything else that people are missing out on.Not only pictures of their commodity that they already have and sell, but their new releases and holiday

The coffee shop makes use of high quality ingredients that are prepared under very strict guidelines. There are a number of business concepts that can be charted to be able to directly compete with the business; Java Culture. The firm can also add more products for instance sandwiches, pastries for the clients as well as small salads (Ferrell & Hartline, 2011). When a small sign was hung on a little cafe in Waitsfield, Vermont in 1981, nobody would have imagined that Green Mountain Coffee Roasters [GMCR] would become one of the world's leading specialty coffee makers. Through hard work, "Demand quickly grew beyond the walls of the café," and many other local companies requested GMCR coffee to offer their customers (GMCR, Company Overview, 2009, p. 1). Today, GMCR "is recognized as a leader in the specialty coffee industry for its award-winning coffees, innovative brewing technology and socially responsible business practices" (GMCR, The Story of Green Mountain, 2009, p. 1). Reaching this point, however, was not easy and forced GMCR to master their marketing strategies in order to survive the competition.…

Right when you walk through the door it hits you. The smell is so strong it makes you realize how tired you really are. The walls are mocha colored and lined with coffee cups from places our customers have been, the tile is checkered black and white, and beneath the front bar is a mural of a coffee shop. There are regular tables and tall tables, and even a green love seat with an elephant blanket draped over the back. You get the feeling of comfort, other than the feeling of intimidation of not knowing much about coffee, when you first walk in. At least that’s how I was when I first walked in. The hum of the frozen yogurt machine sparks an interest of what kind of flavors are up…

The demand for coffee and specialty coffee products have been steadily increasing. One of the leading factors affecting the demand for coffee beans is an increase in specialty coffee shops, such as Starbucks. Starbucks has become one of the most favorite coffee spots with over 21,160 stores in 63 countries and territories, including the United States, China, Canada, Japan and the United Kingdom (Starbucks Corporation 2013 Fiscal Report). Their locations serve hot and cold infusions, ranging from a regular Americano to Frappuccino’s and a whole array of whole-bean coffee, micro ground instant coffee, full-leaf teas among other goodies. It is no surprise that Starbucks has become a significant success, controlling a high percentage of the coffee supply.…

In Stanley Fish's essay, "Getting Coffee Is Hard to Do," (2007), the author asserts that it is much harder to get a cup of coffee in today's time than it was in the past. Fish uses the statement "coordination problem" to express the difficulty one may have getting coffee in modern time, especially due to the arrangement of the coffee shops and where the condiments are located in the shops, causing people to become bumper cars. His main purpose is to express the complications people go through on a daily basis in order to obtain a cup of coffee to fellow coffee drinkers, such as, standing in a line, finding a place to wait while the coffee is being brewed, finding a way to start getting your staggering accessories due to it being very unorganized,…

Starbucks is a company in which purchases and roasts high quality whole bean coffees and sells them along with fresh, rich-brewed, Italian style espresso beverages, a variety of pastries and confections, and coffee-related accessories and equipment (starbucks.com). During my environmental scan in which took place at the Starbucks on the corner of Fair and Newport across the street from vanguard, I noticed many things in which where never brought to my attention in prior stays and visits at Starbucks; such as the many social groups in which choose to have their meetings at Starbucks. Thus in this essay we will discuss things in which many people do not really notice when going to Starbucks.…

Throughout our more than 40-year journey, Starbucks has sought to find innovative and relevant solutions to the challenges we face as a company while respecting and bringing value to the communities we serve. Today we continue to strengthen and grow our business. Not only does our family of brands connect with people who visit our stores approximately 60 million times each week, but also with customers in the grocery aisle, at home, and in the digital world. In 2011, Starbucks and our stakeholders continued to face pervasive global economic uncertainty and high global unemployment. As always, we seek to lead where we can – inviting other organizations to join us in efforts that can change entire industries, as well as neighborhoods. Time and time again, we have formed relationships with like-minded organizations to help us magnify the moments of connection that remain at the foundation of our business. More than ten years ago, we turned to Conservation International to help us build our ethical sourcing program. Now C.A.F.E. Practices is in its eighth year, and we are sourcing nearly 86 percent of our coffee in a way that promotes continuous improvement in quality, productivity, environmental impact and transparency. As part of our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship, we have been a retail industry leader in…

Starbucks first opened in 1971 in Seattle’s pike place market as a single store and at that time it was a merchant of whole bean and ground coffee, tea and spices. The name Starbucks was given after the first mate in Herman Melville’s Moby Dick and there logo was motivated by the sea- featuring a twin tailed siren taken from Greek mythology. Howard Schultz is the Starbucks president and chief executive officer and he joined the company in 1982 and then for a short time left the company to start his own coffeehouses in Italy but then later in August 1987 he bought Starbucks with the help of other investors. Now Starbucks has 17,651 (as of July1, 2012) total number of stores all over the world in places like Bahrain, Australia, Canada, Taiwan and Egypt and so on, plus they offer just more than whole bean and ground coffee, tea and spices, they now also offer handcrafted beverages such as hot and iced espresso, merchandises such as mugs, fresh food such as sandwiches and also offer ready to drink products such as bottled frapuccinos. Starbucks mission till date has been to inspire and nurture the human spirit – one person, one cup and one neighborhood at a time. One of the reasons why Starbucks remains popular for its coffee is that their coffee buyers individually travel to coffee farms in Latin America, Africa and Asia to select the best quality beans. In addition to that Starbucks is a responsible company which does not only consider profits but also looks factors such as principled sourcing which is helping farmers for a stable future and a stable climate for the world and another factor being environmentally friendly. Starbucks by 2015 will completely be environmentally friendly hence all its cups will be re-useable or…
