5.When all of the water has dripped out onto the paper, bring the paper out in the sun to dry, placing a llllll onto the part that is not wet.
ANALYSIS
1.) My hypothesis was, if salty water was poured onto black paper and left out in the sun, the water would evaporate leaving behind the salt crystals, causing the part that the salty water was on to turn white.
2.)My independent variable was the amount of soil and salt that was put in the coffee filter.
3.)My dependent variable was the color of the paper.
4.)This was a controlled experiment because I could compare the paper that I used to how it was before, or another one that was the same.
5.) The reason that I used black paper as opposed to white, was because the salt was supposed to make the part that the salty water was poured onto turn white. The white caused by the salt would not make a huge difference on the white paper.
6.) The black paper did not turn white and I am not completely sure why. The dried paper suggest that salty water makes no difference than if fresh water was
