Abstract
The text of your abstract belongs here and should be between 150 and 250 words in length per the 6th edition of the APA manual. It should be a brief summary of the content of the paper without additional comment, opinion, or citations. The abstract should be one continuous paragraph without an indentation (begin the first sentence of the paragraph flush left).
The title of your paper belongs here (level 1 heading)
The first paragraph should be the introduction to your paper but it does not require a heading stating “Introduction”. The first paragraph is assumed to be the introduction to the paper and as such does not require a heading; simply offer a brief introduction to your topic.
The body of your paper begins on page 3 with the title of your paper/introduction and ends with your conclusion. The body should be 5-7 pages in length.
First theme (I prefer a level 1 heading)
The text of your first theme would go here.
Second theme
The text of your second theme would go here.
Third theme
The text of your third theme would go here.
Conclusion
Summarize the main points of your paper; make certain that everything in the text of your paper is written in third person. If you do not know what third person is, please research it on the internet.
I have found that many students are unfamiliar with the APA writing format. You can buy the 6th Edition of the APA Publication Manual or search for online APA resources. The following websites may be of assistance as you work on your research paper: http://apastyle.apa.org/ http://www.docstyles.com/archive/apacrib.pdf http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/560/01/ http://www.calstatela.edu/library/guides/3apa.doc
Remember, your paper should be written according to the format outlined in the APA
