Serving as director of Vanguard University's Global Center for Women and Justice and producer of the Ending Human Trafficking podcast, Dr. Morgan has dedicated herself to educating future generations on the dangers of human trafficking. She launched Live2Free, a student organization that supports and trains college youth to raise awareness on the issue of modern-day slavery and equips students to protect their friends and family from predators. Dr. Morgan’s experience and expertise preventing human trafficking would make her an asset for the Advisory Committee.
As a member of my Human Trafficking Congressional Advisory Committee, Dr. Morgan has helped understand how to protect victims of trafficking and prosecute perpetrators of this heinous crime. As the Administrator of the Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force and member of the Faith Alliance against Slavery and Trafficking, Dr. Morgan understands how law enforcement, the judicial system, and faith based organizations work to prevent and rescue victims. The Advisory Committee could benefit greatly from Dr. Morgan’s work with many community partners.
I strongly recommend Dr. Sandra Morgan for the National Advisory Committee on the Trafficking of Children and Youth in the United States. Her knowledge of human trafficking and her dedication to protecting those who cannot protect themselves will serve as valuable assets. I am proud to recommend such a remarkable and dedicated public servant for this position. Please let me know if I can offer any further information that will help the committee in making its decision.
