SAT Practice Essay 1
Many people think that refusing to compromise will ensure you reach your goals. By never backing down and always standing up for what they believe in. Well, many people are wrong. If you are more flexible in reaching your goals, instead of fighting everything and everyone in the process, reaching your goals will prove to be a lot easier. Being flexible helps you in many different ways. Being flexible instead of always refusing to compromise will truly benefit you in the long run. If you are always fighting other people and never considerate new ideas, reaching your goals may be very far away or even impossible. By opening up your ears and being perceptive to other people's ways of thinking you will find that it proves to be very beneficial in helping to reach your own goal. Never compromising can almost always lead to disappointment and frustration, which doesn’t make a person very happy. While being flexible can adapt you to avoid those problems. When a person is relaxed, happy and confident they can reach their goals much quicker and with a smile on their face. To sum everything up, being flexible can ensure

Negotiation is a skill that I thought people have to be born with. Although people can be born better suited with negotiation skills; the skill is also a craft that can be taught and learned. People must be able to reflect on their strengths and weaknesses and build off their strengths to become a better negotiator. Lewicki, Saunders and Barry (2011) state that while some people may look like born negotiators, negotiation is fundamentally a skill involving analysis and communication that everyone can learn. I think that the questionnaires that I took really amplified what I need to work on as a negotiator. Negotiation is a part of everyday life for everyone, in home life and in personal life and becoming a better negotiator can impact our lives positively in both. This paper will reflect and summarize what I learned about myself doing both questionnaires and how I plan on improving my negotiation skills using this class going forward.…
