Scariest Night of My Life
It was a Friday night. The full moon was shining through the bare branches making scary shadows on our path as we walked. A cool light wind was blowing sending leaves dancing noisily in the forest floor. I remember thinking to myself that the night, was the scariest night ever, and I wanted to ask Scott to go back and take the long way through the road, but I was afraid that he would laugh at me and make jokes about me for being scared of the dark.

The path we walked on would take us past the park and end at the pub above called The Bull. We chose this path because it would be the shorter walk to the pub. We were feeling bored and went out for a drink or two. A walk that led us into the forest. As we walked past the park a group of teenage youths came jumping out from behind of some bushes and trees. My heart was in my throat and I felt Scott give a scared jump. "Oi, what the hell do you think you're doing!" Shouted Scott and swore at them. They laughed and went to find their gang. My face was still a look of terror and when Scott turned to see if I was all right, tan the youths swore at him back and were just standing there, Scott started chasing them. Then an older man appeared from the forest and pushed Scott so hard that sent him stumbling backwards, over a log into a big pile of leaves from a nearby tree. I was scared and I didn't know what to do so I ran thought the forest where I hid hoping to phone the police for help, the

Last January, this advice that she gave me my whole entire life, paid off. On a frigid January night, my friends and I decided to go sled riding. We went to an old street that had a towering hill that they closed in the winter. Two of my friends have trucks and we decided to sled down the enormous incline, and they would pull us up. At the bottom we were supposed to get in the bed of the truck, and then ride in the bed of the truck on the was up the hill. It was our last run and once to the bottom, Katie, Nick, and Mason decided to stay on the sled to ride to the top. I on the other hand, decided to get in the bed like we were supposed to do. That decision was a decision that was made because of my…

One night we were at Emili Lewis’s house. A few of us girls wanted to try to stay up all night. It had been raining so we decided we wanted to go for a drive. This point of the night it was like 1:30 a.m. We drove for a little while before we got bored. We decided to brainstorm some ideas of stuff to do. We decided we wanted to go out to Box Canyon in Kaitlin’s truck to look at the stars. It took us a little while to get everything put together. We finally started heading out there at 3:00 a.m. On the way out there we passed a truck. The truck was very short, matte black, and had a circle light bar in between the headlights. None of us recognized the truck and we got a little nervous. We decided to ignore it and keep going. For the rest of the drive we talked about boys, problems, and then we started talking about scary stuff. When we got out there we were too scared to get out of the truck, so we turned around and started back into town. We got…

One sunny, hot day I was outside in my backyard playing with my friend Annabel who lived across the street from me. Then all the sudden I heard a scream that sounded like it came from my brother. I dashed out to find Morgan with a water gun pointed at my brother. I yelled at her not to shoot multiple times but she ignored me and soaked my brother. He quickly burst into tears as the water sprayed on him. I yelled at Morgan “I told you not to shoot!”. Then I took my brother by the hand and we walked back to my house to figure out how to get Morgan back.…

Throughout the course of our childhood, we have all been told frightening stories. Whether those stories were about “The Boogey Man” or “Bloody Mary” or even an original story, they all served one purpose, to frighten us into behaving. I really wish I had listened to my mother, I really wish I hadn’t tried to be the moron I was, if only I had experienced the slightest ounce of fear to prevent me from entering the woods, especially at night, when evil is said to be at its strongest.…

I would wake up in the middle of the night, terrified of the dark. I’d think sometimes that my bed was on the ceiling and the whole house was upside down; and if I didn’t hang onto the mattress, I might fall outward into the stars. (She shivers a little, remembering) I wanted to run to my father, and have him tell me I was safe, that everything was all right. But, I was always more frightened of him than I was of falling.…

Tired, with a headache, and not in capacity to maintain my eyes open, I remembered next day was Halloween, which was the last thing I remembered before falling sleep. Intrigued about what was happening, I woke up and walked towards the closet. The sound gave me the chills.…
