School council speech (example)
Good morning Mr. Henwood Mrs. jones and students, i want to show all of you why I want to be school council. If you want to be school council, you need all these different characteristics. I can tell you all now that I think I have what it takes to be part of school council comity.

I had experienced being a school council in my old school but it didn’t go as well as it should have done. In year 6 at this school I tried being a school council but it didn’t work. I tried again in year 7 but it didn’t work either. I have come again today to show you that I don’t give up and I have a goal.

I am confident and responsible. I promise that I wont let any body down. Maybe if you had any suggestions you we can put a little section for your ideas if I’m not in the house room. If you are absent or you come home from school and you have an idea, I have a Brighton college address and you can send me an email and send your ideas from there. If you decide to do that I promise you will have your email replied by 1-2 days guaranteed.

There are many ideas we can choose from to make the school better.
One of my ideas is maybe do an arts and crafts fundraiser for the school and it can be a competition between houses. Another idea is that we could a music competition. One of the things that I think we should improve the school on is that the nursing and medication program could be improved . this is because we haven’t really focused on that and we actually focused more on social part of school. But we can look deeper into those ideas when school council meetings occur. I will try my best to gather all your ideas and inform them to teachers soon as possible. I will also try and persuade them as much as I can.
If they don’t agree I will inform you immediately and tell you the problem.
We shouldn’t be really disappointed if our ideas are not taken. The reason for this is because we should be thankful that we have teachers here that have taken up their to come here

The purpose and objective in the team in which I work is to provide a safe learning environment to the pupils as well as the staff, We also help each and every child reach their full potential we do this in our class by dividing the children into groups of ability. Once class work is underway we will go to the group and assist them in the days topic or task. We also meet regularly to talk about what we have observed and experienced whilst helping the children this then helps us all to work towards better results in teaching and support. For example a new child started the school and I was asked to listen to he read a variety of different level reading books and to feed back to the class teacher what they found to easy and hard so that this can help her in giving the child a reading level.…

Respected Mr. Robertson and Mr. Welsh, I aim to convey my genuine intent in representing Shawnigan Lake School as a prefect. I love Shawnigan, I realized this as a ten-year-old touring for the first time with my mother. Now seven years from that day, Shawnigan has allowed me to understand what it means to love, it takes sacrifice. With years of immense sacrifice on part of my mother and Shawnigan, I am ready to show that love back in the best way I know possible, as prefect. I believe because of so much selfless investment in my time at Shawnigan, I can use that depth of heart to impact the lives that make up my home.…

Last year I was asked to be a small group leader for incoming 7th grade students this year. Having known what it felt like to be a new student in a completely different school I jumped on the opportunity to help. I, like Billy tried to be open and welcoming, encouraging the 7th graders to become involved in the Xaverian community just like Billy did for me and I’m sure many others. My goal was to be able to help the 7th graders in any situation whether they needed advice or just want to share a funny story. As a student council senator I would try to do the same. I would strive to always be friendly and kind to all Xaverian students wanting everyone to feel welcome. I would encourage other to join clubs and activities and go on service projects like X-Act and Christmas in the city. Most of all I would want each and every student at Xaverian to feel accepted and to feel excited, knowing that they are each a key part in the larger, greater, Xaverian…

At yesterday’s town council meeting (3/6/17), the serious problems of Cottone Field took center stage. Concerned residents and students lined up to inform the council about the worn-out condition of the field which has recently caused injuries to several students. The injuries were due to the uplift of the base layer of silica sand which purpose is to act as a cushion. Without this base layer of sand, the field becomes incredible dense, providing little to no dampening of impacts. The result of this is that students are getting sprained ankles in situations where they would normally be uninjured. One concerned resident reported “their was no difference in feel between the concrete and the field once I stepped on to it”. Another reported…

I am Casper Lee from Class 5A1. Our school has recently obtained a sum of money from an organization to sponsor the school in its newest initiative. The aim of the initiative is to promote cohesion and school spirit among the students as well as elevate the image of the school in the community. The teachers have suggested initiatives such as a gala anniversary concert at the Esplanade, a school carnival that will be open to the public or adoption of the local children’s home. After much deliberation, I have concluded that the adoption of the local children’s home would be the ideal initiative that would help us achieve our goals.…
