Americans are getting fatter and fatter every day. This is evident by the rise of the fast food industry, with their cheap chips and soft drinks, and other tooth-rottingly delicious foods. It seems difficult to stop eating food that has been chemically engineered to be as tasty, and as cheap, as possible, but it can be done if any amount of effort is put in. One simple step that would probably help a lot is to drain foods of the fattening grease they’re cooked in. They think that by keeping costs low, the school saves more money in the process. What they don’t realize is that if students actually do start getting better grades (and science says they should) then the school would get more state funding and it would counteract the cost of the extra food. Additionally, some parents would start letting their kids have school food when they wouldn’t have before because it’s now much healthier. Assuming that the money spent on healthier food is the same amount of money the school gets by being better relative to other schools, that’s extra profit for the school. The disbelievers can’t argue
