Paris trip turns into a disaster
Madison Bernier, staff reporter, Paris, France
A group of 17 grade 12 French students and two teachers from Sir John A McDonald secondary school had gone to Paris, France on July, 11, 2014 to learn about the French culture and the French festival, Bastille Day.
Brianna Lee, age 18 says, “It was supposed to be an amazing day. We were supposed to learn so much more but all our plans got cancelled in the end”.
The group of 19 had decided to go and see the Bastille Day festival. While travelling there, they had encountered a flat tire about 1o minutes away from the Eiffel tower. Instead of waiting for the tire to get changed, they had explored the Eiffel tower and its history.
Linda Brown, age 17 says, “The Eiffel tower and its history was beautiful but the incident there changed all our moods”.
As they were leaving and about to get in to the repaired car, some students had noticed their wallets had disappeared into thin air. The students were very upset and it is reported that they have taken the next flight back home, to Toronto.
Teacher, Lucas Reed says “It was supposed to be the perfect trip for all of us including us teachers. There’s nothing we could do now. I apologize to all the students and parents. If we had known about a pickpocketer in the area, we would have taken a taxi straight there”.

Plot: Commencing at Del Norte High School of a small town called Alberseque, five students began to involve themselves in scheming and plotting of a very twisted plan which backfired on them. The scheme slowly evolved after many conflicts between the students and their English teacher, Mr. Griffin, for various reasons such as marks or dislike of his teaching methods. Mark, who had failed the course and deeply loathed Mr. Griffin, brainstormed to kidnap and "scare" the teacher with the help of his friends, Jeff and Betsy. In desperate need of a distraction or diversion for this plan, Mark told his friend, Dave to ask the smartest girl in the class, Susan (who liked Dave) for help; she was expected to arrange a conference with Mr. Griffin on the kidnapping day. Although Susan didn't want to, she agreed for Dave's sake. On the day, they waited anxiously for Mr. Griffin to come from the conference. When he approached, the students (except Susan) bagged his head and drove him to a secluded area. After they arrived there, the teenagers pressed the teacher to beg for a release, but he refused; out of anger, they dumped his heart medication and left afterwards. A few hours later, Susan called Dave with guilt to bring Mr. Griffin back, but too late --- the teacher already died of a heart attack when they came. They immediately drove back to school and notified their friends. Mark declared that they went too far and it was time to destroy any clues and hide the truth. Meanwhile, Mrs. Griffin notified the police, who assumed her husband deserted her. To add onto that, Mark persuaded Susan into lying to the police (she was supposed to be the last one to see the teacher) that Griffin left with another woman (lying he was still alive). To destroy all possible clues, the teenagers got rid of the car and buried the body. Just then, someone reported finding Griffin's medication (with his name). The police went to the spot, found the burial site, and dug up the body. Meanwhile,…

I imagined exactly how the day would go, I would walk into the very nice well-kept room. Say my name, watch some videos, I’d take the test, get 100%, and be on my way to Wendy’s where I would eat chicken nuggets and french fries as a celebratory lunch with my dad, who would accompany me throughout the class. Or so I thought, but does anything ever turn out like you thought it would? No, It never does, that day went nothing like I planned.…

In the same way, the bombing of Saint-Malo event was reflected in the novel: “Intercoms crackle. Deliberately, almost lazily, the bombers shed altitude. Dark, ruined ships appear, scuttled or destroyed, one with its bow shorn away, a second flickering as it burns” (Doerr 4). Additionally, it developed the idea that the characters and the people in human history lived in exceptional times, with the deep portrayal of the bombing, the effects can be clearly revealed without mention how many people actually died. Furthermore, in human history, France has a grateful history of art, many French people were proud of their literature.…

Not only did that unnecessary break happen but, “In another case, a principal and two teachers in Kansas City, Missouri, were suspended with pay after twenty-three elementary school students were strip-searched in an effort to locate five dollars in missing lunch money. A female teacher allegedly took the girls into a restroom and had them strip down to their underwear when no one admitted taking the money. A male physical education teacher executed the same procedure with male students. The money was later found in the boy's restroom but was not located as part of either search.”(Essex) This piece of evidence shows another break from the learning environment to find a couple dollars, this shows the distrust in teachers to students from the teachers searching students, but ultimately finding the money in a different place. In addition, in the case of Bellnier v. Lund, the Plaintiff Leonti said he had 4 dollars when…

It was a bright, hot and early morning in Paris, as the sun was rising on the first day of summer. The bright yellow sun was staring alongside of the Eiffel tower, caused a large living creature over the path, roads and the water, making every building in its way almost a black. The shadow that cast over the water created a transparent image of the Eiffel tower, which almost looked fake, it was so beautiful. The sky was filled with a mixture of red, orange and the strong, bright yellow light, no clouds to be seen. The Eiffel tower stood high and tall, over powering every other building in the city.…
