School uniforms level the playing field and help reduce bullying among students. When everyone is dressed alike your social class tends to matter less and the urge to segregate one from a friend group decreases. Uniforms reduce teasing towards students who wear less fashionable or inexpensive clothing. As a matter of fact “surveyed school leaders with a school uniform or formal dress code policy in place believe their current policy has made a significant, positive impact on peer pressure (86 percent) and bullying (64 percent)”. At school, “when all students are wearing the same outfit, they are less concerned about how they look and how they fit in with their peers; thus, they can concentrate on their schoolwork". (ProCon.org) When everyone is wearing the same outfit that eliminates classroom distractions ,so students are more likely to pay attention in class. Uniform settings among schools “provide for less distraction, less drama, and more of a focus on learning”.(ProCon.org) Wearing school uniforms removes the focus of students from what they are wearing to what they need to be
