School Uniforms

The first school district in the United States to require all K-8 students to wear uniforms was Long Beach, CA, in January 1994. (Pro and con of school uniform). I believe all schools should have school uniforms. School uniforms add measures of safety in identical dress, Improve attendance and there is less bullying.

Uniforms add measures of safety in the schools. Uniforms reduce ways in which gang members can identify each other and start ruckus. Almost two million school fights are caused by gang activity each year. (The Challenge of School Violence) Another good safety factor from uniforms is that is reduces the risk of students being robbed coming to and from school. It also helps school administrators
