Basketball, like all sports can be explained by science. People that play basketball like me also uses science, by gravity, force, friction, and momentum. Players use force to push the ball toward the basket. The player fights gravity to take a jump shot to get to points for his team. This game requires a set rules that teams have to follow, like the NBA and NCAA. The first rules ever created keep getting changed by the NBA and NCAA. In the NCAA rules that have been change don’t really help the players. The NCAA committee told the referee’s to clamped down on physical defense and made it harder to draw a foul, but then officials keep being instructed by the coaches to focus on hand checking on the perimeter, as well as physical defense. The referee's have been instructed two different things and they don’t know what to call, so this change has caused more college players to get hurt physically and keeps them out for a long time in the season. Some players in college like to keep the ball to themselves and show off too. The NBA would like to change the rules to help the players. The committee would like to widen the escape lanes, in order to improve safety conditions surrounding the court. Or what I think they just want to keep Lebron safe because of what happened in 2015 NBA
