to Buffalo Wild Wings around 6:30. The parking lot was packed and we had trouble finding a parking spot, once we did we went inside we didn’t have to wait because our friend Jarrod arrived before us and reserved us a table. It was still quite busy and took a while for the waiter to take our order, but compared to how long it took to get our food it seemed fast. Finally after what seemed like forever we paid for our food and left.
By the time we got done eating and left it was already 7:45. The two of us walked as fast as possible to his car and jumped in, not taking the time to put our seatbelts. Jarrod did the same. We sped following Jarrod to his house where we were supposed to watch The Walking Dead. At this point I knew we were going to be let but Tyler thought otherwise. I wanted to stop and get my car and just go home and watch it another time but Tyler refused and sped faster to keep up with Jarrod. As we were driving down one of the backroads on the way to Jarrod’s house a deer leapt over a fence and ran in between the cars.
Tyler saw the deer, swerved a bit into the other lane and slammed on his brakes. I however did not see the deer and was not expecting him to slam on his brakes, so I went flying into the windshield. He pulled over to the side of the road while I sat in his front seat collecting the blood from my nose in my hand while trying not to get blood all over his interior. “Are you okay?” he asked. “Yeah I’m fine, but I can’t say the same for your windshield.” I responded while pointing to his windshield which had cracked from the impact of my head. Jarrod, not seeing what happened in his rear view called wondering where we were at. Tyler let him know what happened and we picked him up so he could drive my car back to my house because I felt light headed and didn’t want to drive it back to my house. Once we arrived at Jarrod’s Tyler inspected his windshield to see how much damage my head had caused. My parents weren’t too happy with my decision to not wear a seatbelt, they also thought it was necessary to go to the emergency room to make sure nothing was wrong. We arrived at the emergency room and after waiting to see a Doctor I was diagnosed with a concussion. Sadly because of all that happened I did not get to watch the Walking Dead that Sunday, but on the bright side I did get to miss the following couple days of school due to the
concussion.
