This was it. All I had to do was block this last kick and I would be team captain. I've been waiting since last year and I'm not planning on letting one kick knock me off of my chance to be captain.
Taking in deep breaths of air I stood in the goal ready to pounce at any object trying to get in, looking straight I see the next kicker, Ayden. She's one of our best players I'll give her that, her foot work is great and her kicks, oh god her kicks are even better. I've never spoken to her, I usually keep to myself but I know for a fact that soccer is her main priority.

"I will!" I replied jogging up the stairs.
My mom has always liked Jack, she says,
'He's a good influence on you Chrissy, plus he's quite handsome.'

The boy is the captain of the football team so usually all that's on his mind is, you guessed it, football. He's never really cared much for his grades, he's always told me that he knows that some college will accept him for his skills in sports and I've never questioned him on that.
After taking a shower and putting on some clean, none sweaty clothes it was about eight-thirty.
I figured I should call Jack and apologize for blowing him off but it's not like I did it on purpose, I simply forgot he had wanted to hang out today. The phone rang three times before I heard a click and Jack's voice on the other side of the phone,
"Hey." Great, he's being distant with me
