Self-Discovery Essay
Self- discovery is a process used to find the main skills and interests needed to succeed in a particular career area. As a future IT specialist, self-discovery and self-awareness play a big part in my decision. Some skills that I discovered for my field includes: the ability to learn the basic concepts needed to succeed. Next, I would need to know how to apply them correctly. Lastly, I need the determination and dedication that it takes to become the best at what I do.
I am attending school to become an IT specialist. As an IT specialist my job will be to ensure the safety and maintenance of computer systems, rather it is in a home setting or a business setting. The qualifications for my career choice includes strong problem-solving skills, a good communication technique and an analytical personality , strong knowledge of computer systems and computer components ,strong knowledge in mathematics, basic engineering and technology. Educational wise, I would have to have either a certificate and/or a bachelor’s degree to become an IT specialist. Lastly, I would need to have experience in the work force.
I choose this field of study because I have the passion and willingness to work with computers. I have always been interested in computers since I was in 6th grade. During this time I observed one of my teachers dissecting a CPU and then putting it back together. This sparked my interest and caused me to follow through with my career choice. I have always been an analytical person and love to use critical thinking to figure things out.
My MBTI personality profile is classified as ENTJ. My profile includes being, Extroverted (love interacting with people),having intuition ( think more open mindedly than others) ,Thinking ( thinks more logically of situations),and executing Judgment ( plan and make decisions rather quickly than others). This was interesting because I
