Even though it was against unwritten law, he had no mercy for corruption in law enforcement. In chapter one, it introduced us to the main character, Frank Serpico. Frank Serpico is a thirty-five-year-old man who is the son of a Neapolitan shoemaker; his mother has had a series of heart issues and currently is battling the flu (Maas, 1973). He had a muscular physique along with brown curly hair and a full beard. In addition to the hippie look, it had a Winnie a Pooh necklace that a girl gave him when he was in Sweden (Maas, 1973).

There is a South African Proverb that states "Until lions write books, history will always glorify the hunter". In his play "Los Vendidos", Luis Valdez tries to become a lion and let the voice of Chicano history be heard. Luis Valdez does this in a satirical way by presenting the views and stereotypes that many American's have had and continue to have, about Chicano's in the form of a shop where Chicano "model/robots" are sold. By presenting each Chicano as a robot and stereotype, Luis Valdez tries to earse of the "models" of Chicano's that people have in their heads and tries to point out that there is a strong Chicano culture and a rich history that has been ignored by American's for years. William Craft’s use of the word master through out the narrative challenges the natural order of the master/slave relationship in the south. I believe that Craft challenges this natural order because when Craft and his wife Ellen were making their thousand-mile journey to freedom William would call Ellen master. William would call his wife master because she was disguised as a white male and William was playing the role of the slave. This challenges the order of the master/slave relationship because it shows how weak the relationship between the masters and slaves were. Since, a slave white women could dress up in a disguise and act like a master of a slave then the slaves have broken the so called natural order of the master/slave relationship and proved that the masters have no more power over them than anyone else.…

In pervious centuries, the elite class of Latin America made enormous efforts to transform their countries into more of a European looking nation. Nevertheless, these countries lack the capital and conditions to attract European laborers and their families. These failures opened the way for new experimentation in building their nation as one unified population and industrializing new forms of political participation. Latin America wanted its citizens to form a new nation identities and embracing their racial mixing.…

Secondly, feminism is needed worldwide because of the extreme issues that are happening in other states. These are issues that are brought daily into national and international news. There are so many countries that don’t treat women equal to men, mostly because of their traditions but also for financial benefit as in China with the female dominated workforce. However they don’t have the majority in the workforce because of women rights but on the contrary to exploit both women and men. China is not the only country that “prefer” women to work in factories many countries do this including Mexico. Once again I had never paid attention to the maquiladoras that are just across the border where I have family members that work in some of them.…
