Seven Desires Of The Heart Analysis

In the presentation “The Seven Desires of the Heart,” Dr. Mark Laaser discusses each desire, in detail. The seven desires of the heart that he talks about are: 1) the desire to be heard; 2) the desire to be affirmed; 3) the desire to be praised; 4) the desire to be safe; 5) the desire to be touched; 6) the desire to be passionately desired; and 7) the desire to be included (Laaser, n.d.). He also discusses how childhood traumas could influence the seven desires, along with what one can do to effectively handle them.

In the presentation, Laaser briefly talks about each of the seven desires and how they can affect someone. For the majority of the desires, he states they are the result of not receiving the type of desire as a child (Laaser, n.d.).
