Even though a person is more likely to be sexually neglected by a blood relation, close relative, or acquaintance than by an outsider or a stranger. As well with giving a announcement and registered sex offender list to the public, I believe that notification and registration lists can lead the public to believe these (registered) sex offenders are the utmost dangerous. As things like rape are ultimately the most underreported crime, since allot of rapist and even sex offenders are not reported due to the fact that people feel like it a shame to them as well, since it is something they had done to them. Also my other concern with this concept would be that notification may cause offenders to change their residence without enrolling back into the system again, or may urge them to violent as a sex offender, in ranges outside the notified zone. Cause more chance of people that are innocent and not notified to become victims.
Overall as a citizen of my community I believe that one should have the right to know if a sex offender lives near them for the reasons I have stated above for the reason also being that I believe the safety of citizens outweighs the right of sex offenders, considering that a sex offender once had the choice of committing their actions before he they did,
