1.0Introduction
The main aim of this report is to look upon one of the successful women entrepreneurs, who brought a revolutionary change in to the beauty market by nurturing healthy way of life.
According to Kuratko, (2009, pg.5) entrepreneurship is defined as the dynamic progression of vision, change and creation. Thus, it demands for the application of energy and passion and diligence for creating and executing new and unique ideas and generate solutions.
Thus Shahnaz Husain, CEO of ShahnazHerbals, who was born in to a royal Muslim family in Samarkhand and later migrated to India, is one of the well-known female pioneer and undisputed queen of herbal beauty care in India. Hence, she is one of the most successful entrepreneurs in India. Her dreams of having a revolutionary change in to the beauty industry through her vision by using Ayurveda and Indian herbal heritage has lead her to surpass her wildest dreams by expanding her products far beyond the boundaries of India and acclaim the international market with over 400 various beauty and healthcare products. Now, Shahnaz Husain controls one of the largest herbal beauty enterprises in the world with an integrated salon chain, carrying her product lines of herbal and Ayurvedic beauty care.
2.0 How it all started (The journey to being a successful entrepreneur)
Entrepreneurs are defined as “risk takers” in developing a new enterprise and are uniquely optimistic, highly determined, motivated and committed people with passion who obtain great satisfaction from being independent. (Kuratko, 2009, pg.31)
Although Shahnaz Husain was born and raised in a traditional Royal Muslim family; she did have the benefit of modern schooling as she was schooled in an Irish convent as per her father’s influence.
