Short Story: Ellie
The man sitting next to Ellie kept trying to inquire where Ellie was going but Ellie just told him that her mother told her she wasn't to talk to strangers.

When Ellie and Piper arrived in Los Angeles, they set out to find Audrena. “There's some things I need to warn you about before we see Audrena,” Piper said,” she must have been murdered in a horrible way because she won't discuss her murder with anyone. So you better be a good persuader because I'm not sure she'll tell you. It might take a few days to get her to talk.” Ellie wasn't discouraged by this at all, In fact it made her even more determined than before. Though Ellie did not know Audrena, she some how felt a bond with her, like she owed it to Audrena to find out what happened to

“Audrena, I'm Piper we met last week. This is my friend Ellie, she thinks she can help you.” Piper said as gently and as thoughtfully as possible. “Audrena, I cannot imagine what happened to you and it must have been awful, and you are probably trying to forget it, but if you want my help you are going to shake my hand, but when you do so, you will have to see it happen to you. I will is it too and then report it to the police they can put however is responsible for what happened to you in jail,” said Ellie. And just like that, Audrena seemed to snap out of it, and put her hand out for Ellie to shake. Ellie took Audrena’s hand and everything went black.

Ellie opened her eyes but only saw a purple bag over her head. She tried to stand but she was tied to the chair she was sitting in. “This girl has been given to us by her father so that he may become an official member of The Society Of The Men In Robes. We will sacrifice her to our lord satan, but first fellow brothers do what you would like with her,” said a booming voice far away from Ellie. Then she felt at least 20 people torturing her, this went on for what felt like an hour but was probably only 10

After what felt like hours the tortured groan of the heavy iron door announced the arrival of an unknown guest. As the man walked in the room he turned and smiled at us causing me to scoff within Alice’s mind; “I hear that you’ve been hearing voices” the man asked in a sickly sweet tone. “Kill him” i sneer in the most sinister way and with a slight nod of the head my corrupted little puppet jumped at him tearing at the flesh of his meaty neck with her sharp little teeth causing him to stumble to the ground as he sputtered violently on the crimson liquid that spilt down his convulsing body. Alice then began playing with the man’s pulsing laceration as if a toddler were playing with their food while giggling manically. Only to be halted by a pair of hands wrapping around our body and violently throwing us across the cell all I could hear were the grotesque cracks as each bone broke and Alice’s sweet screams of pain as she is kicked across the room until she was nothing but a whimpering heap in the corner. “Die” the tall man screamed as he picked Alice up by the legs and slammed us against the cold walls of the cell with a sickening crack causing one final screech of pain from Alice to ricochet through the vile halls of the prison as she slumped to the ground with black oozing from her terrified eyes and her mouth that was left…

    Life Is Sweet at Kumansenu

I knew enough about hell to stop me from stealing. I was holy in almost every bone. Some days I recognized the shadows of angels flopping on the backyard grass, and other days I heard faraway messages in the plumbing that howled underneath the house when I crawled there to look for something to do. The sea and the wet sand to one side of it; green tropical forest on the other; above it, the slow, tumbling clouds. The clean, round, blinding disk of sun and the blue sky covered and surrounded the small African village, Kumansenu. A few square mud houses with roofs like helmets were here thatched, and there covered with corrugated zinc, where the prosperity of cocoa and trading had touched the head of the family. The widow Bola stirred her palm-oil stew and thought of nothing in particular. She chewed a kola nut rhythmically with her strong toothless jaws, and soon unconsciously she was chewing in rhythm with the skipping of Asi, her granddaughter. She looked idly at Asi, as the seven-year-old brought the twisted palm-leaf rope smartly over her head and jumped over it, counting in English each time the rope struck the ground and churned up a little red dust. Bola herself did not understand English well, but she could easily count up to twenty in English, for market purposes. Asi shouted, “Six,” and then said, “Nine, ten.” Bola called out that after six came seven. “And I should know,” she sighed. Although now she was old and her womb and breasts were withered, there was a time when she bore children regularly, every two years. Six times she had borne a boy child and six times they had died. Some had swollen up and with weak, plaintive cries had faded away. Others had shuddered in sudden convulsions, with burning skins, and had rolled up their eyes and died. They had all died; or rather he had died, Bola thought, because she knew it was one child all the time whose spirit had crept up…

Erin just had to know what was going on at Royal’s house which Bowie had been called to attend in such a hurry. She took the car and with Georgie in the back seat. She knew Bowie wasn’t going to be happy about her appearance in the crime scene, especially with Georgie but it was a risk she was taking. She had to know if agent Savich and agent Sherlock were okay after finding out they encounter a shooting at Royals house. Royal’s wife had called them scared and delirious. Erin, standing in front of the car, took a long look at the front of the mansion and in a soft almost faded voice asked what had happened. Bowie explained but his voice was dull and crisp showing he was not happy with the decision Erin had made by showing up. After he was done explaining he asked what was she thinking when she decided to follow him. He stood in front of her with one eye smaller than the other. “Agents Lewis called to tell me you were on your way, and then he had the gall to tell me not to worry, said he and Tucker were right behind you and he’d keep an eye out for any bad guys.” She saw the frustration and agitation in his eyes and understood his anger, “ ok I messed up, but we’re here and Georgie is fine so don’t yell at me.” He stayed quiet for a minute and then confessed, “I was mostly worried about Georgie but I did worry about you, Erin” ….. “Don’t you understand that this is no game, the killer is still out there, who knows who he plans to take out next and … Erin you might be it, I don’t want anything to happen to you.” She stared into his eyes and notice something else she had not noticed in him. While she was trying to find out what it was they heard a small shriek, “Georgie!” Bowie screamed out of top of his lungs. They hadn’t noticed that while they were getting louder they stood further away from Georgie. He ran behind the one who was stealing his daughter away from him, he tried but the man…
