Short Story The Bbuck
Jamie swallowed as he slowly pulled the trigger. Everything seemed to go into slow motion. Jamie's heart was pounding so fast, it seemed like it might explode if it went any faster. The butt of the gun kicked him in the crook of his shoulder, but Jamie didn't notice. He didn't see the bullet until the buck gave a little jump, staggering only a little bit. Jamie sat as still as a stone, not even daring to breathe. The buck collapsed, like Jamie knew it would. It was a clean shot and Jamie knew it. The buck didn't suffer much, and Jamie was glad for that, but, he couldn't even keep his thoughts straight. He really shot his first deer! The doe sprinted off towards the woods, and Jamie finally breathed again. His hands were clammy and shaking

Dennis Lynn Rader was born to Dorothea Mae and William Elvin Rader on March 9, 1945. Otero was found murdered in his home alongside three of his family members. Joseph Otero 's wife was beaten, choked and bound before Rader killed her. Rader 's next "BTK" victim was a 21-year-old named Kathryn Bright.

Similarly to Rader 's first set of victims, she had been bound with a cord, somewhat clothed and had been choked and stabbed numerous times.

Rader 's last two victims were 28-year-old Vicki Wegerle, and 62 year old Dolores Davis.

Rader 's killing spree had come to a halt shortly after his last two victims, Vicki Wegerle, and Dolores Davis.

In 2004 the investigation became interesting after Rader sent an anonymous letter to the authorities, declaring accountability for a killing that had not formerly been recognized as the work of the "BTK" killer.

The working authorities kept a line of communication open with the BTK Killer also known as Rader, with determination to gain his trust and assurance.

In summary, there was strong evidence working against Rader, placing him as a top suspect in the BTK killings.

In February of 2005, Rader was incarcerated in Park City, Kansas, and charged of the BTK killings.…

Wyatt and his friend were sent to town to gather supplies for the road when, as they passed the bar, two men burst out the door with guns drawn, each firing at the other. A total of five or so rounds were fired before both men collapsed near the two young men. One dead, the other about to be. This single moment frightened Wyatt up to his conscience, and he ran. Later that night, when his father heard of the story, Wyatt was explained the many variables and reasons that could have caused the assault. This image would stain Wyatt’s maturing brain for years to come, even until he too would be the gutsy one shooting at point blank, only he would not die from getting shot like these…

With the barrel of her musket propped firmly on the limb of a tree, Charity took steady aim at the deer. The medium-sized buck was grazing at the edge of a thicket of wax myrtles, near where she saw the deer tracks the day before. John and Uriah were squatting in the bushes behind her. She had brought them along to help with the bleeding out of the deer, should she kill one, and to help carry it back to camp. They could then dress it out and help her prepare the meat for making jerky and so forth. She also hoped to can some of the meat so that it would last a lot longer. She was glad that Nancy had shown her how and taught her how to preserve food in glass jars- it was much better than having to dry it all into tough leather strips… Taking careful aim, Charity squeezed the trigger, while saying a quick prayer that the bullet would hit its mark. She was worried that she wasn't close enough to the deer, but if she had tried to get any closer, it would have seen her and ran off into the woods.…

    The Rattler Comentary

The author's Diction heightens the rancher's commitment to protect the people and the doubt he feels about the decision. Although the man's first “instinct” was not to kill the snake, he realized that it was his “duty” to kill it because of the “ominous” danger it posed to the ranch. The man's natural “instinct” and his moral “duty” to protect the ranch do not align, creating the conflict that the reader identifies with. The man recognizes the “ominous” danger posed by the snake, leaving him with an obligation to remove the danger. At first, the rancher's thought was to “let [the snake] go” for the rancher “never killed” an animal and not “obliged” to kill, but he “reflected” that it posed as a threat to the ranch, thus having to remove it. The rancher wanted to “let [the snake] go” for he has “never killed an animal” because he does not “feel the satisfaction” of killing as a sport. The rancher was very hesitant to kill, but he “reflected” that he needed to protect. The man's obligation and regret about killing the snake creates a conflict that generates the readers emotions through Diction; the Imagery further illustrates this conflict.…

First, Buck begins hunting wild game. For example, he kills and also eats a bull moose and black bear alone. Since Buck can kill and eat on his own, he is on his way to becoming wild. Second, Buck kills the Yeehats after they attack and kill Thorton and his friends at camp. For instance, Buck rips the throats of the people of the tribe who have done wrong to him and his former family. Since buck kills humans, he is very close to becoming completely wild. Last, Buck answers the call by joining a wolf pack. For example, the pack surrounds Buck and tries to attack Buck, but stops and accept him as a part of the pack. Since the wolf pack accepts Buck he takes lead of the pack and becomes the famous “Ghost Dog”. In conclusion, Buck becomes wild and fulfills his quest to find his true…

I was tired and my face was numb; I forgot my face mask at my uncle’s house. I wasn’t in any rush to get home but the wood stove and my comfortable bed was a pleasing thought. The headlight on my snowmobile was only shining about ten feet in the distance when a giant moose stepped out in front of me. I immediately pulled my breaks, but it was too late to avoid contact. I was looking up at the towering moose; ready to fly forward all I could think about is how to survive this situation. My body became calm and everything went quiet. Then all of a sudden the big hooves came crashing down just…

Taunting, taunting, taunting. Ben Robert's had never had sex quite like it, or with a woman such as Sky. Usually they'd be totally silent, hopefully except for whimpers, moans and exclamations of pleasure, or sweet little nothings in his ear, but not once would they engage him with sarcasm and mocking competitive insults in the process, and the Spy found that he enjoyed it much more than he would ever have dreamt of, not that he'd ever had such dreams; it just added to Schuyler Lassiter's charm, and uniqueness. Along with that body she possessed, it just caused him to want to fuck her into total exhausted oblviion even more, and to elicit that scream. But not before he'd showed her who was boss, and in control of this thing.…

That summer afternoon, as I remember it, was doubtlessly a commemorable one. Breezy, yet humid. The story at hand is about much more than the ethics of hunting, and despite its ambiguous, if not non-existent plot, I thought it was rich with meaning. Packaged as a glimpse of life into a small group of people, set in a beautifully rustic and occasionally harsh environment, the story eludes to several themes such as relationships, human needs, addictions, fear, stereotypes, hypocrisy, and our perceptions of reality. Like an old, mysterious house with trap doors and hidden rooms, each time I read Antlers, I found something I didn't see before.…
