Short Term Career Goals

My immediate short-term career goal would be to pass all four parts of the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam. Successfully passing this exam, along with meeting the educational and work experience requirements, is the only way to make the rest of my career goals possible. Ideally, I will begin work for one of the “Big four” accounting firms (Ernst and Young, Deloitte, PWC, or KPMG) to gain the extensive knowledge I need in the field of audit to be successful in my long-term goals. Looking into the future, I see my career following a typical path. It will begin as a staff accountant where I will learn the ins and outs of everyday life as an auditor.
