My second point is ,it is not just everyday Americans that think it should or should not be considered a sport.
About four years ago a federal judge ruled that cheerleading should not be considered a sport. The American Medical Association thinks differently, they believe cheerleading should be considered a sport. Cheerleading is a very dangerous activity in most occasions. That’s why they think cheerleading should be considered a sport, due to its risks and rigors. The medical association says girls are flipping 10 to 20 feet in the air, and cheerleaders need the same care and help that any other sport
does. My third point is, cheerleading is a beneficial sport. It helps girls stay active just like in any other sport. The cheerleaders work hard on their routines. They are dedicated to cheerleading and want the same acknowledgment as any other sport player gets. When they work hard on stunts they want to be recognized as a sport not just a form of entertainment. To recap my points, I would like to say that cheerleading is a sport. Cheerleading meets all the sport requirements. It is a physical activity that interests many people. There is competitive cheerleading that many people do. In cheerleading it is hard to get all the routines down and it takes time and practice which should be acknowledged as a sport.
