Should Illegal Immigrants Get Driver's License Essay

Since 1993 Illegal immigrants have been able to obtain a driver's license legally. There is a total of 12 states plus the District of Columbia that allow illegal immigrants to obtain these licenses(Wepman). Many fear of terrorist attacks from the outcome of this ability. The attack on 9/11 was executed by illegal immigrants that had obtained Sixty-three driver’s licenses between the nineteen of them. Around that time there were only eleven states that allowed illegal immigrants to obtain licenses, showing that more states are saying it's okay to allow illegal immigrants to get a driver’s license. Illegal Immigrants should not be able to get driver's licenses because it will bring more illegals, they don't have the right to these privileges, and can put danger on the road by having non-English speaking people drive(King).
Letting illegal immigrants go through the driver’s license scenario allows them to get correctly taught. Them having these novice skills and understandings help keep the roads safe(Newman). They also get to learn more about the English language and comprehend what the different road signs mean and other traffic markings. Another good thing about having illegal immigrants be taught how to drive is that it lowers people’s insurance rates. This is because there will be less uneducated drivers on the road which leads to safer roads in the nation.
