E-e.g.
= parents won’t have to worry anymore about taking child to school E-explanation= instead of waking up early to drive their children to school, they can relax and let their children drive themselves to school. They would know that it’s safer than letting their children walk to
school.
* 2nd body Para: P-dis=16 yr olds are not mature enough
E-might drive the car really fast
E-if they drive the car really fast they might get caught by the police. They might have an accident and get badly injured.
* 3rd body Para:
P-dis=they might become too independent
E-they might not listen to their parents and go off in their car how the 16 yr old girl Lucy smith in America did.
E-Lucy Smith went off in her parents car and didn’t return home for a week.
* Conclusion: -makes parents lives easier, might not be mature enough to drive, may become too independent at a young age. To lessen the amount of car accidents and teenagers going off the speed limit the legal driving age should stay the same at 18 or over. Unfortunately, until now there are still young teenagers driving that aren’t 18 or over.
The legal driving age: 18 or over
As we all know driving can get a little tiring will all the turns and red traffic lights. One has to always be aware of one’s surrounding. The driver always has to concentrate and not get distracted by anything. Driving is legal for those who are 18 or over, but what if it was legal for those who are 16 or over? There are several advantages and disadvantages to this. The advantage of the legal driving age being changed to 16 is that children will be able to drive to places and in turn make their parents lives a lot easier. Waking up early in the morning just to drive your children to school will no longer be necessary, as they can now drive to school. Instead of walking to school or getting a lift they can drive to school. This is a much safer way to get to and from school than walking. In contrast to this advantage, 16 year olds aren’t mature enough to be driving. They might drive the car too fast to show off or for any other reason. If they end up driving the car too fast, they will go beyond the speed limit and so get caught by the police and maybe get a criminal record. Another scenario is that they might have an accident causing injuries or even deaths. In addition to 16 year olds not being mature enough, they might get too independent at this young age. For instance, a 16 year old named Lucy Smith ran off in her parents’ car and never returned home. Lucy had had a fight with her parents and left her home. She was found dead near a gas station an hour later. Apparently she had had an accident with a car but the accident didn’t kill her, the man in the other car did. In conclusion, driving is a very complicated thing. To lessen the amount of car accidents and teenagers breaking the speed limit, the legal driving age should stay at 18. Unfortunately, until now there are still young teenagers driving that aren’t 18 or over who continuously cause trouble.
