Education is the solution to nearly every problem that exists in the world today. Education can lead to less unemployment, less poverty, high incomes and this will make the world much more economically stable. Although education is much more than high profile jobs, it draws a direct link between physical and mental health. There will be longer lives, fewer crimes and brighter prospects for the next generation. Around 80 percent of the child’s brain is influenced by what happens at their homes. It is considerably easier for children to develop and learn with the support of strong families, who can ‘afford’ education. Is it that only people who can ‘afford’ education have the right to education? This essay will explore the points for and against the debatable topic ‘should private education be abolished’?
Those who are in favor of this topic claim that education is a basic fundamental right and just because a child is born into a richer family than another child does not mean that they have the right to a better education. If private education were abolished then state schools would improve the quality of teaching and would give an equal opportunity to each and every child. By this the world would be a much fairer place to live in because there would be equality.
Further more, private schools aren't good for the child. The reason of this claim being that a private school has an artificial environment where the child is exposed only to children of their own socioeconomic background. There is no diversity that is offered in the class. Moreover, no one can assure the parents that the children are being taught from the same curriculum like in other schools. Private schools are said to be more reputed, which creates a difference in the options available for a child’s further studies. Every child dreams of studying in the best college, private education system creates a discrimination of whether to choose a student that
