It states that soldiers have the right to peacefully protest when they are off duty, off post, not in uniform and within the United States.

The government will always remain officially neutral. Therefore service members should not represent themselves as a member of the Armed Forces while exercising their Constitutional rights to protest. When soldiers protest in uniform it gives the impression of official

We have the right and obligation to protest against any transgression that violates our rights or that endangers our well being. When the government of a free society starts to add restrictions to free people such as business regulations or gun restrictions, it not only violates our right to bear arms but then the government is reaching it's hand into our business. For example he ObamaCare Employer Mandate or “employer mandate” is a requirement…

Refusing to stand, such as kneeling and locking arms during the national anthem has quickly become a questionable action by Americans. President Donald Trump has recently released a statement on the topic explaining his thoughts, which are that Americans, especially professional football players, should be penalized for refusing to stand during the national anthem. All of this started when Colin Kaepernick, a famous NFL football player, refused to stand during the national anthem. Kaepernick’s argument was that he felt all of the freedoms and rights were not being upheld by America (discrimination, oppression, and police brutality). While some Americans may be angered and feel disrespected, those who are taking action have the right to do so, due to the first amendment.…

As Americans we have all heard about this in one form or fashion. Not knowing how anyone feels on this subject, but knowing everything has his or her own opinion about it. Knowing someone in the Army more than likely makes one have stronger views against this, like so many others. Seeing the hundreds standing in protest at a fallen soldier’s funeral with signs saying “Pray for more dead soldiers” and “Thank God for IED’s”, makes thousands of people sick to their stomachs with the disrespect and stupidity that some people have. Thousands of innocent men and women have died in the war in Afghanistan and Iraq since it started for the religious groups to disrespect the loved ones and friends of the fallen the way they are it is just so unkind to do it to one another. Religion is fickle and all teach different values, but one prime example the Westboro Baptist Church goes a bit too far. Many will agree just check out their website www.godhatesfags.com all will be shown there. Sure many will agree the protests should be stopped or not be able to be held at the site where a fallen soldier is having a memorial service out of respect.…

This paper is about the issue of school uniforms and whether or not for schools (K-12) to require them. I analyzed three strong arguments from both sides of the issue. The side advocating uniforms argued that school uniforms keep students focused, which may lead to an improvement of grades. Advocates state uniforms deter students from crimes and save money for parents by relieving parents of the pressure of buying new clothes for every school year. The other side of the issue against uniforms in schools argue that uniforms threaten and infringe on student’s freedom of expression by requiring students to wear the uniforms with consequences if not hearkened. The opposition to uniforms also presented a study where the students oppose…

Should citizens have the right to refuse to serve in the armed forces? The first military draft began in the year 1940. This occurred when president Roosevelt signed the selective training and service act. There were a total of 10 million men ''selected''. 10 million men who were chosen. These men had to go, they weren't there intentionally. I believe that citizens should have to right to refuse to serve in the armed forces because it can be very dangerous, traumatic, and against religious beliefs.…

Our first amendment right protects freedom of speech. Although sometimes in peaceful civil disobedience we are not technically "speaking", but doing. The age old saying "actions speak louder than words" is very true in this case. We have been peacefully protesting the government since the government was created actually even prior to that. We protested the British taxing our tea by dumping…
