First, me, as a person, I think they should be eliminated. Art and music programs make budgets tighter. The school needs their funds for other expenses. The school needs their funds for more useful things such as bills, laptops, supplies, or even back up money. The school needs money for more useful things, not for kids to get caught up in something else and get distracted and fail their classes. Second, another reason the school should eliminate art and music programs is because art and music programs are not as important as actual course classes you have to take to pass high school. An art and music program only teaches you how to play music or draw. It interferes with your course classes. Art and music classes interfere with so many things in a school, such as, time, classes, and passing your grades. If the schools all got rid of art and music programs it would be a lot more focusing for those in it. Kids that are interacted with art and music programs are all focused on their hobby, which would be drawing or music. …show more content…
Why are all the schools getting rid of art and music programs? My opinion is they’re too distracting and a money sucker. Why do they distract kids? Well, I will tell you why they distract kids, because kids get caught up in this program because it is a hobby to them and then they forget about their actual school work (English, Science, ICP, Earth Science, Biology, Geometry, Algebra 1 or 2, Pre-Cal, Foreign language, Spanish or German, Social Studies, World History, and so
