A student that says I’m just not good at math will not do good at math. Some of the characteristics of a fixed mindset are a negative self-image. Only doing activities that you know you will be successful at. Avoiding failure at all costs. Making roadblocks to avoid having to put effort into to living. And probably the worst characteristics of a fixed mindset is putting others down that you perceive to be better than yourself. Here are a few things that can help you change your mindset. When you focus on how you can improve you will be setting the tone for change. If you view failures as teaching tools you will grow your mindset.
