Similar to flipping a coin, there is no middle of heads or tails, comparably you cannot halfway believe in God. As Pascal states, “reason can decide nothing here”, which brings me to explain that on reason alone, we cannot simply conclude that God exists. We cannot prove that God exists because we may not even understand God ourselves; He is infinitely complex. For that reason, we must wager, Pascal truly believes it is not optional. Some may say that Christians build their faith on reason, for example, they follow the Bible. I however do not believe the Bible is within reason since they are all just a gathering of stories, nobody is to say that these are truthful. To elaborate, I will prove that it isn’t optional to wager by explaining that “Wager, then, without hesitation, that He is” is a quote that will suffice in arguing since while looking at the bigger picture, one may discover that something they have loved and cared for a long period of time, turns out to be built on a lie. This deceptiveness will not lead us to believe that we have lived an unfulfilled life, since our life is not worse off because of it. Thus, one must wager, the decision to get eternal life, so why not choose the next world. One
