According to Wikipedia, pornography is the explicit of sexual subject matter for the purpose of sexual arousal. Sexual explicit contents flood the brain with dopamine as a reward substance, which rewires the brain by altering and forming brain cells to motivate porn viewers to do certain activities like seeking more intense images. Overtime, exposure to porn can become an addition because users need more hardcore versions of pornography to get the same arousal as their beginning. Therefore, porn users are more tolerance to sex acts and view them as normal. As the addiction deepens, users often turn to porn whenever they encounter stressful situations in life, so that they can feel pleasure.
The access to pornography is easier now than ever because we are living in a modern world flooded with technology. Online pornography is the most popular form because of the Internet. Just type words like “Free Porn” or “Sex” on Google and you can find a great deal of results in a fraction of a second. One can sit behind a computer and enjoy all extreme versions of porn in a blink of an eye. Thus, this bring the concern of porn leaving a big scar on young innocent minds. Studies show that each year about 40 percent of teens and preteens visit sexual explicit sites. When they are browsing for free game websites, the free porn ads can be popped up and hinder children curiosity. As a result, they click on these ads and are directed to a dangerous world that hugely impact them physically and mentally. Children keep watching them and want to mimic those acts in real life. This lead to an increased rate of teen pregnancy.
The government should be more involved in censoring pornography by blocking and limiting access to porn websites.
