Social networking.
Today I am here to talk about weather 16 years olds should be allowed to use social networking, as everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I strongly agree that they shoud be allowed due to many obvious reasons. Even though there are many reasons they should not be allowed. However I think that there is more positivity than negativity, but as I had said we all have our own opinion.
I’m absolutely certain that not everyone would agree with me, but social networking allows you to communicate with friends and family you cannot see on a daily basis you can skype them. Skype allows you too actually see the person through the screen. However Youngers …show more content…
can be naive and might expose their personal details to unknown people who probably have a bad intension towards them.
Of course every parent/carer has their own right.im sure all have you have come across social networking throughout your life, it’s not bad right? Unfortunately people can steal identies of websites like Facebook and twitter and create fake profiles of you. On the other hand you can share pictures, music, and video s, play games and statuses to people you know and don’t have to meet physically.
Addiction was the most widely word used to describe social networking and children. Addiction is commonly described as excessive use of the internet that interferes with the daily functioning and that can lead to distress and harm. However social networking can help teenagers who experience shyness or social anxiety.it helps them gain confidence in social interactions in several ways. I agree with this fact because this has happened to me before and social networking has had a big impact on my life and my confidence level is way higher than before, social networking helped me build up my self-esteem.
Another positivity is that young children that have not known there biological parents it helps them to identify and search for them. Unfortunately people are not always what they show to be, as I had said before many horrible people create fake profiles and use them as a hidden identity, also many teenagers from past research have put there trust into these fake profiles and believe them and get manipulated.
You might not believe this but social networking also has a good effect on teenager’s education, they can speak to school member and share what they have learnt within a variety of subjects. None the less, excessive use of social networking can lead to a distraction to education therefore this can result in obsessive behaviours in subjects and formal language due to social networking not using the full English language, which results in poor spelling and the English grammar.
Despite all the negative points most people would still agree that social networking does have a little bit of a good effect on these young adults, however social websites have foul people on there who are insensitive with their language.
Many other young adults would actually take it to heart.in past research many teenagers have harmed themselves due to cyber bulling which leaves family to grieve
The opposite argues that social networking sites give people their own space and these blog sites represent fun and socialisation. Well, would we not prefer our children to go outside and socialise with friends that they know ,where they live and they know there gender? The olden days we didn’t express a need for online socialisation social networking prevents youths from spending time with their parents and sibling.
Many people love social media because of its wide connection and functions that people can receive for free; it doesn’t require money to make an account and use it. Facebook makes it possible to create a deep socialisation between users. Since users have a right to accept or refuse a friend request. On the other hand so horrible people use social websites for immoral actions like suicidal, compensated dating and even
cybersex.
To my conclusion I believe that there are negatives and positives to every social networking websites and this should not be holded against under 16 years old as they are growing up and will mature with these certain situations; will help them in late life. My argument against this is no matter what age you are, you will come across cyberbullying and people being immature so I don’t personally think that this should be banned from under 16 years old, having social networking accounts can benefit them due to the fact that the economy and generation is becoming more involved in technology. From my research I have gathered that cyberbullying and immature behaviour only follows you if you respond in a negative way which results in the user becoming more aggressive which does not help the situation. My last and the most important advice that I could give to you that do not judge the person on their age but their actions. Thanks you for listening I hope that I have gave you a positive outlook on social networking for young adults.
