The ghost of Christmas Past was very energetic and optimistic.As shown on page 41, “His voice was soft and gentle. He was comforting to Scrooge. He reminded Scrooge of the good times he had before Marley died. was the first ghost to visit Scrooge and explain to him that he has become greedy over the years since Marley died. The ghost of Christmas past brought Scrooge to his old school and to a Christmas party. On page 43, it shows that “Scrooge recognized every gate, and post, and tree.” He also recognized the people that they were passing and “he rejoiced beyond all bounds to see them… his cold eye glistened, and his heart leapt up as they walked past.” this shows that the significance of The ghost of Christmas past was to bring happiness and remind Scrooge that he has it in him to be happy and that there was a time before he became a cold bitter and loveless man. …show more content…
He was the ghost that showed Scrooge the things that were happening in the present. He took Scrooge to his clerk Bob’s house, to show him that SCrooge’s greediness was hurting his family. Because Scrooge was so stingy about him money, his employee couldn’t afford a decent Christmas feast. This caused Bob’s youngest son tiny Tim, to die very soon after Christmas. By showing him this, The Ghost of Christmas present showed Scrooge that there are people that he needs to help and stop being so greedy, and there can be serious consequences if he didn’t clean up his act sooner than
