As stated in the first paragraph, Dahl adored creating cheerful books for children to read. The BFG, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and James and the Giant Peach were just a couple children books that he authored. Roald Dahl had a more joyous vibe for his books aside from Edgar Allan Poe. Dahl also had a brain of imagination different from most of Edgar Allan Poe’s books. Dahl also was inspired to write his books from childhood Norwegian stories. Even though Dahl had mysterious, dark stories, he still tried to have a bit of comedy and laughter added into the book. In my opinion, Roald Dahl is the better author because he has more child appropriate books that make kids in a gleeful and more joyous mood. On the other hand, Edgar Allan Poe authors more of the fearful fictional type of stories and books. I also think Dahl is the better author because his stories and books hook readers to want to read more of his books. Dahl’s books also engaged producers to make delightful movies of his books Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG. Dahl’s famous books became prominent movies attracting even more kids to know about him. Recently in 2016, the book The BFG was remade into a movie by Steven Spielberg and featured live actors.
