Abraham: First of all, I do not believe that the taxes that King George III imposes on us are fair. Taxes such as the Stamp Act and Townshend Acts were placed on our common goods. To be quite honest, they are not high but our consent was not even sought out.

Also, we already pay taxes to our colonial government which is used towards our benefit with the construction of railroads.
Tabitha: As British citizens, it is our duty to help our king. If the king asks us to help in the form of taxes, then we must do so.
Abraham: The king wishes for us to pay taxes but we do not even have noble representation in parliament. Hence, taxation without representation. Nobody is present in parliament that has direct experience in speaking for our needs.
Tabitha: There is virtual representation. Britain is too far of a distance from us and it would not be practical.
Abraham: Perhaps, but we should have the ability to send our own people to parliament or at least vote for the British lawmakers.
Tabitha: Quite frankly, Britain has allowed us to self govern ourselves for quite some time now. It seems as though we have now taken an interest because the king is now asserting stronger power.
Abraham: Of course we have taken an interest because we are being stripped from our rights to prosper. We are being taxed without representation, we do not have noble representation in parliament, and let’s not forget about the increased trade regulations. We shouldn’t have our trade restricted to just England. We should be able to trade and economically progress with any country we desire to do
