of any kind, and I think the changes got them assassinated. Julius was known as a dictator and a Republican, and Lincoln held the greatest position in America, a Republican President. Ultimately, both was assassinated by people who did not agree with their issues and political agenda. Caesar was assassinated, on March Ides of 44BC or March 15 in the Roman Calender, his assassin was defensing his Roman beliefs, and wanted a change in power. Caesar was stabbed 23 times near the Pompey’s theater reading a fake document, and President Lincoln was shot at the Ford Theater, by Booth of the Confederate’s army and was captured 12 days later. President Lincoln was assassinated of his support on voting rights, issues of race, politics, and equality to end slavery. In comparison, Caesar thought he could do was never he want with his power against Roman rules. He challenged Roman commander Pompey, cross Rubicon and cause many wars in the Roman Empire. Additionally, following Pompey’s death, Caesar conferred more powers to himself by diluting the Senate’s reaches and powers (Alvin 82). Both men’s changed history by their roles in influencing Rome and American history. In society today, Caesar and President Lincoln are considered hero in what they were trying to do, and that was change, as we know change is hard and people do not like change, and that is the main reason I believe they were assassinated, changing the lives of others.
