Barack Obama was born in Honolulu Hawaii in 1961. His parents are Barack Obama who is from Kenya while his mother is Ann Dunham from Kansas. Obama is a democrat who before becoming the President of the US was a senator for Illinois. He was nominated the Democratic Party presidential candidate in 2008 election. John McCain was born in Panama Canal in 1936. He comes from a family with a history of military and staunch support for the Republican Party. He was nominated as the Republican Party presidential candidate in 2008 U.S elections. Even though President Obama and McCain had similar ideologies relating to some of their political views, they had striking differences.

The two leaders differed significantly despite their similarities. First, the existence of a considerable age difference between the two.
