Romeo and juliet by william shakespeare, is a romantic play about to people who fall in love at first sight. Their tragic love story comes to an end only five days after meeting each other. They both die at the end of the heartbreaking story because they “loved” each other so much. Many years after the play was written people still ask themselves, was it true love? Or obsession? Or infatuation? The hectic love story, of romeo and juliet, is about the idea of two people loving each other and being obsessed for on another. Romeo and juliet meet at a party that is being hosted by juliet's father and mother, lady capulet and capulet. The party was secretly an engagement party for juliet so she could meet the handsome prince’s cousin, paris. Before romeo and juliet meet each other, he feels melancholy and heartbroken because he fell with a girl, rosaline, but she didn’t love him back. Romeo and his friends crash the party so he could find a way to get over rosaline. As soon as romeo lays his eyes on juliet he becomes overpowered by the idea
And are they really in love with each other? Juliet was 13 years old when she “fell in love” with the handsome 18 year old, romeo. Juliet was too young to know what it means to love someone. Juliet states in the book that she never even thought of marriage until her mother and horse had mentioned it. When they formerly met, she fell in love with the attention she was getting from Romeo and paris, although she didn't care about paris as much as romeo. They had convinced themselves that the relationship would work, although he had been vanished and her family hated his. The young couple believed that their relationship would last forever but it ended very quickly because of the hatred between the two families. If both families didn't have so many grudges and bitterness, romeo and juliet could have survived it all and they wouldn't try to sneak around and go against their families
