In the “The Lion King” Simba, the main character, didn’t realize that his future would affect his decisions that he made in the past, so he tries to go back and fix it but he can’t. Also a childhood friend of Simba shows him what is happening in the future and how bad it is. In A Christmas Carol the ghosts take him back to his past and lets him see what he is doing wrong and help him fix it for the future. For both “The Lion King”, and A Christmas Carol the choice of remembering the past and feelings after in the present helped the stories finish with a strong ending of them forgiving anyone they hurt or living up to their potential positively. The second ghost has already come and showed Scrooge the present and how joyful everyone is and how depressed and saddened Scrooge is.
