The next part of this proposes improvement of the bonding workstation using simulation methods. Simulation is a kind of analysis method, which involves systems, models and applications, to mimic the behavior of reals systems, using appropriate software on a computer. Simulation models can be used to analyze and measure the effect of changes on the manufacturing processes. Other advantages of simulation are that it can be done with less analytic requirement, it can be easily demonstrated, and experimental simulation runs can be done in a compresses time. Conceptual modeling is certainly the most important aspect of the simulation modeling process. The design of the model impacts all aspects of the study, particularly in the data requirements. The simulation model is built using WITNESS 13 Manufacturing Performance simulation software. The construction of the model is based on production process flow in bonding workstation. During straight line production one operator uses all four the process. This study represents discrete-event modeling and the company works for 8.25hours in a day. The main problem that occurred in the bonding workstation is that the operator failed to finish up the demand every day. The constraint is the production volume to meet the customer requirement 170seats per week. It was due to some processes having much longer cycle time than the other. So, the next process would have to wait until the part was done in the previous stage before proceeding. Therefore, in this inquiry, it is important to improve the productivity output in this bonding workstation that can fulfill the customer need.
