skill related fitness project
My client is Sarah Laker. A retired ballet instructor, her career came to an end early when she broke her left ankle 4 years ago. She since then has gone to rehabilitation classes and her ankle has healed to the point where her doctor said she can go on her trip to Utah and go skiing with her husband. Before she is cleared to go though she has a training plan she has to pass.
On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the best 1 the worst. These are my clients abilities:
Agility: 4/10
Balance: 3/10 (favoring the right ankle)
Coordination: 9/10
Power: 5/10
Reaction time: 10/10
Speed: 7/10

The course Sarah will complete consists of balance, agility, power, and speed tests.
First she will play tennis, moving to hit the ball and turning to hit the ball will not only improve her agility but also her speed and playing with a ball shooter will help her increase the rate at which she can return volleys. Next Sarah will stand in the center of a trampoline and try and balance on her left foot lifting her right leg behind her, gradually increasing the height as she is able to. Her finally test is Jumping up on said trampoline and gradually increasing her height adding power every time she drops down.

After her tests are complete she will have a level of these:
Agility: 9/10
Balance: 8/10
Coordination: 9/10
Power: 9/10
Reaction time: 10/10
Speed: 10/10

For Sarah's trip she will need to wear knee pads and ankle braces for protection while she skis. She will wear them under her warm clothing but they must be worn, or the risk of rebreaking her ankle could occur.

Summary 2In his writing, The Movies That Rose From the Grave, Max Brooks, explains how movies, books, video games, and television shows about Zombies have continued to be a leader in the horror industry for the past 40 years. The story of Zombies originated as myths and tall tales. The first Zombie movie, White Zombie, was released in 1932. During this time period, a Zombie was a living person that was made to act as a corpse. With the release of George A. Romero’s movie, Night of the Living Dead, in 1968, the notion of a Zombie changed drastically. In this movie, Zombies were portrayed as people who had risen from the dead and terrorized society. Zombies destroyed the brain of their living victims and lived off of human flesh. Their main purpose was to destroy human society. With the development of computer games such as Resident Evil and House of the Dead, more people were joining the Zombie craze. More zombie movies were created and the following increased.…

President Andrew Jackson is charged with impeachment on the indictments of reckless disregard for the economic interests of the citizens of the United States under Article I, reckless disregard for the principle of the separation of powers and specifically for disregarding the authority of the United States Supreme Court under Article II, and reckless disregard for authority of the states and unlawfully using powers of the federal government to suppress that authority under article III. Jackson stands here today under the trial by the U.S senate to determine whether or not he is guilty of these indictments. After hearing the testimonies of the witnesses and arguments of the prosecution and defense I have reached my verdict of guilty on the account of all three articles of impeachment due to Jacksons violation the separation of powers with his action to destroy the national bank of the United States, his violation of states’ rights in the dealings of the nullification crisis, and finally his violation of laws, treaties and Supreme Court orders in dealing with the Native Americans…

Athletic trainers evaluate, advise, and treat athletes to assist recovery from injury, or maintain peak physical fitness (“29-9091 Athletic Trainers”). During the 5th century, Herodicus of Megara (aka father of sports medicine) was the first to combine sports with medicine. After World War I (1916) trainers played a bigger role, and began to work at the college level. A year later (1917) Dr. S.E. Bilik wrote “The Trainers Bible” (“History of Athletic Training”). Now athletic training is more advanced with its requirements and qualifications, working conditions and salary, it's days you spend listening and learning, and its future needs and developments.…

However, I value the relationship between doctor and patient as the best advantage. Simply working with the patients and seeing them progress due to their commitment and hard work is a breathtaking experience. In order to build a strong relationship with the patient, I will organize an innovative rehabilitation program that supports their individual goals and needs. The progression between doctor and patient goes hand in hand because as the patient begins to regain working function I can attain the confidence to work with others. Injuries can vary from patient to patient whether rehabilitation can take a short time or it can take quite a while. From my volunteer experience working at Los Feliz Country Villa hospital I observed how physical therapists are so composed and cooperative when working with a patient with major injuries. It takes more than just exercises and rehab to restore the patient’s bodily functioning but it requires trust and cooperation between doctor and patient. The purpose of the rehabilitation is to insure that the patient is able to keep up with the routine such as exercises to promote a steady recovery.…

A positive learning environment are trust, open communication and shared learning experiences.Trainer is one who can create a positive learning environment, which will allow the students to feel comfortable, safe and engaged – something that all students deserve. I applied some factors that build a positive learning environment. Adult learners require the learning to be relevant, are highly motivated, need active involvement in the learning process, a variety of learning experiences, positive feedback, need to be recognized as individuals with unique experiences, to maintain their self-esteem. A positive learning environment requires the involvement of learners - to ask questions and feedback, encourage discussions, group and individual activities, group discussions, visual aids, role plays. The effective trainer helps to create the positive learning environment when using a variety of techniques for providing positive feedback. To provide positive feedback is to give verbal praise, to use positive responses during questioning, recognize appropriate skills. Be sure to treat the participants as individuals when using participant names, to involve all participants as often as possible, to treat participants with respect, to allow participants to share information with others, to maintain the self-esteem of learners with reinforcing practices and beliefs embodied in the activity, providing corrective feedback in an appropriate manner, providing training that adds to their sense of competence and self-esteem, recognizing participants accomplishments.…
