The two that I can relate to are the naps, and the wine/coffee consumption before bed time. I usually take naps throughout my busy days if I have a headache. Usually on my days I have class, I come home with a pounding headache. I often take a half hour nap to see if it will reduce my headache. The documentary recommended
if someone is going to take naps, that they are best to be taken between 2 and 5 pm. That is usually when I take a nap if I have to. I can usually nap and it won’t affect me sleeping at night. I did notice taking a nap at the 6-8 pm hour time slot reduces how I sleep at night. I often fall asleep and wake up for hours and feel wide awake if I nap at that time. I think naps in moderation are good and I know many college students enjoy their naps!
The other point I can relate to is the two people who drank coffee and wine. I’m more of a coffee drinker at night time than during the morning hours. If I have an exam I’m studying for, I usually drink a cup or two to stay awake so I can focus. If I have more than that, I’m up until 2 in the morning trying to fall asleep. On the other hand, alcohol makes me very sleepy before I go to bed. I can relate to the documentary about falling asleep right away, but not getting a good night’s sleep. I think limiting how much I drink at night of coffee or wine will help my sleep habits. Unfortunately, I know I won’t give up my coffee addiction at night if I am trying to finish a paper or study! I think both drinks are better in moderation if someone is looking to get a good night’s rest. I do plan on trying to drink my coffee a little bit earlier then 6 pm to see if I notice any difference in my sleep patterns.
