What do you think the best sport in the world is? In terms of watching it and playing it, soccer is the best. According to FIFA's most recent big count survey there are 265 million players actively involved in soccer around the world. Soccer is the most played sport worldwide, many people love it and I'm one of those people. In soccer the rules are simple. It's all about getting the ball into the net without using your hands. To play soccer, only little equipment is required. Set some cones up, get a ball and that's pretty much it. That means you can play soccer anywhere and at anytime. It's always a good time for a quick match with your friends or family. My favorite fact about soccer is that size matters the least. It's more about agility …show more content…
The FIFA World Cup is the world's most widely viewed sports event. The 2014 FIFA World Cup broke lots of TV audience records in key International markets. More than one billion fans watched the final of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil, reaching a global in-home TV audience of 3.2 billion people. An average of two-hundred and eighty million people around the world watched matches online and on their phones. Soccer is great, because it’s truly a team sport. Everyone on the team counts and anyone can score. In a match there's eleven players in each team. Each individual has a specific job, but every position including the goalie, can help defend a play, go forward, take a free kick and even score a goal. When people visualize soccer, they imagine guys playing the sport but guess what, women kick ass in the game too. There's even a women’s World Cup that also gets crazy with lots of people watching the beautiful game. Women playing soccer is just as exciting as to watching the men play soccer. In 2011, the Women’s World Cup broke viewing records, with hundreds of millions of views around the world. One of the most important parts of soccer is sportsmanship.
