Athletes that play soccer are very different now than they used to be. According to “Comparing Modern Players to Players of Past Generations” says that players now of days are more fit than players in the past. Because of that the defenders were easy when going into challenges with their opponents. A reason this is, is because modern day soccer is way more difficult. Now all athletes are getting personal trainers who tell them what to eat, what to do, and that train them to become better players. According to “ The Evolution of the Soccer Uniform” says that in the 1848 players would just wear a white shirt, long trousers, and colorful hats or scarves to distinguish between the competing teams. It wasn't until around 1870 that the public demanded that the teams would wear clothing that was more like uniforms.
