As a feminist I believe that gender roles should not have any individual interactive systems of discrimination and oppression that include race, class, gender, and nation; it refers to both a structure and process Powerpoint 9 (Hutchison, 2015). The physiological composition of a person and refers to one’s biological or natal sex and a person’s self-concept of their gender, which may or may not beat odds with their biological sex and one’s sexual preference and emotional attraction should no be a substance of judgement (Hutchison, 2015). 2.Increased life expectancy and a post-world War II baby boom in the United States and other industrial countries are leading to a trend of “mass longevity” and the largest cohort of adults in midlife. According to (Hutchison, 2015)the middle adulthood is different in other generations because the life course changes began to change, the body began to age more moor intensively around the age 50.
Cohort is the result of fifty years splurge of birth pg. (317). The change begin with physical appearances, skin losses, firmness and impact on mobility then it would in the young Adult age.The Reproductive system can be vulnerable to chronic disease. Another change maybe personality and spiritual growth across the life course and during this time midlife adults recognize many truths and become more oriented to serve
others. 3.Older adults rely on a number of both informal and formal resources to meet their changing needs.Name some examples of each type of resource in your community.
The informal resource for my grandmother is our family .(Hutchison, 2015) Family is the most important better providers around the clock. My grandmother and her sisters an brothers along with cousins church members all took turn caring for my grandmother she was 90 years of ago, and passed away 4 dates ago. Today, I'am in Tennessee and I just buried my 90 year old grand mother. The informal Resources used for my granny was the immediate family; she had seven children and a slew of grand and great grandchildren. The family provided the emotional and social support for my grandmother we all took turns in taking care of her. Taking her to and from the doctor and handling her finance.(Hutchison, 2015).
Formal resources for my grandmother related (Hutchison, 2015 pg.405 )"Old age and survivor's Insurance pg.405 The retirement and survivors' component of the U.S. Social Security is a Federal administrated programs that cover almost all workers". My grandmother worked 40 years for the hospital the same hospital she passed away in. Before my grandmother was diagnosed with Dementia the family would take her to the community senior center after she became severe she was admitted to one of the Health related senior facilities six moths before her passing. Her power of attorney was my mother whom truly took care of my mother and that was a change of life course fr my granny in her late adulthood.
