These companies are teaching the AI systems to act more and more like a human would. People are starting to wonder where the line will be drawn, and just how far these AI systems will mimic a human (Chandra). Nick Bostrom believes that, "Once there is Super Intelligence, the fate of humanity may depend on what Super Intelligence does. Pound for pound the chimpanzee is stronger than a human, yet its fate relies on what humans do" (TED). If the statement that history tends to repeat itself runs true for AI systems, then the human race has a large problem in the future. Nick Bostrom, as well as many researchers and scientists agree with the statement that it is very plausible for AI systems to take over the human race. Artificial Intelligence will be able to do things humans thought was impossible and are unable to …show more content…
Nick Bostrom is especially worried with this part of the creation of Artificial Intelligence. He believes that many countries will argue over what laws it should follow and create conflict around the globe. The main issue is that once an AI clones itself, the clone will follow the set of laws that the original followed and so forth. Because of this it raises the question of which set of rules is the safest and most acceptable (Koch). "It will only be a matter of time until they appear on the Black Market and in the hands of terrorists, dictators wishing to better control their populace, warlords wishing to perpetrate ethnic cleansing" (qtd. in Murdock). Elon Musk was interviewed and asked about AI, his response was, "Autonomous weapons have been described as the third revolution in warfare, after gunpowder and nuclear arms." Artificial Intelligence poses a gigantic threat to humans in terms of weaponry and
