Parental guidance is very important to aid in a child’s development. “Now look at this house! Look at this!...you should not be here when our mother is not (Seuss).” This quote shows great responsibility on the part of the child. Responsibility is something that does not come naturally or easily, therefore it must be taught. When a Child is young, the main concern they have is much fun they can have. “No! Not in the house’ said the fish in the pot. ‘They should not fly kites in a house! They should not. Oh, the things they will bump! Oh, the things they will hit! (Seuss).” Telling a child “no” for doing something wrong may be effective for a while but if a lesson is given to the child the likelihood of change will greatly increase.
