I told her what had happen at the Vodou ceremony the following night. The story amazed her but she could not thoroughly understand what I been through and how I was feeling. A few days later I called the Vodou Sanctuary and Mambo Angela invited Ife and I to their 9:00 AM, Sunday service. Ife and I arrived to the address given to us at 9:30 AM and was let into a well-decorated home packed with people dressed in white clothing (we wore white also). We sat in the living room for an hour before Mambo Angela came downstairs and gave the order that service would start soon and for everyone go into the basement. Ife and I were escorted to the large basement and that is when we realized where the Vodou Sanctuary was located. The Sanctuary was beautifully and colorfully decorated with flowers, burning candles and incenses, Haitian artifacts, statues of Catholic saints, Vodou artwork on the walls, red thick pole in the center of the floor and drums on the side of the Alter. Ife and I were introduced to the approximately fifty people that were present and welcomed to the Le Peristyle Haitian Vodou
